The Blue Zones Kitchen

I photographed the #1 The New York Times best-selling cookbook Blue Zones Kitchen written by longtime collaborator Dan Buettner. The idea behind our book was simple: discover, document, and share recipes from the kitchens of the world’s oldest healthiest people. The result is equal parts cookbook, ethnography, and National Geographic Magazine feature story. The Blue Zones Kitchen takes readers on a journey through Greece, Japan, Costa Rica, Italy, and California as we discover and share 100 recipes that will help you live to 100.

The Blue Zones American Kitchen

100 recipes to live to 100.

For this sequel to Blue Zones Kitchen, Dan and I traveled throughout America to find an alternative to the standard American diet. From Gullah Geechee stew of okra and benne seeds to farm-fresh Hawaiian tacos to Cherokee succotash, this book reveals the surprisingly healthy origins of America’s culinary heritage and offers a multitude of delicious ways to improve your health, extend your life, and fill your plate with joy.
